Accordance Software for Biblical Studies (Accordance), developed by OakTree Software Specialists and distributed by the GRAMCORD Institute, is without doubt the premier software package for serious Bible study and research available for any computer platform. The initial release of the program received many accolades for its searching power and intuitive design, while the latest release (2.1) includes a number of improvements and additions that will ensure that it continues to be the standard by which other Bible software programs will be measured.

As a modular Bible research system, Accordance can be customized to fit the needs of even the most demanding users. The CD-ROM release includes the Accordance search engine and an impressive number of free text and tool modules:

English Bibles	ASV, Darby, KJV, and Young's translations
English Tools	Easton's Bible Dictionary, Nave's Topical Bible, and Thompson's Chain Reference Bible
Reference Tools	Calvin's Commentary (partial), Henry's Commentary (abridged), Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, and an Outline of the Bible (partial)

In addition, there is a (growing) number of add-on research, text, and tool modules available for purchase (see the list and discussion below). The CD-ROM release makes it even easier to purchase new modules as all currently released modules are included on the CD-ROM. To add a new text or tool module one only needs to call the GRAMCORD Institute and they will give you a password to "unlock" the module of choice (after, of course, it is paid for). Quick Summary:

Accordance is the most powerful Bible program available for any hardware platform. It is particular strong for grammatical searches in the original languages. The New Testament Greek search capabilities are similar to GRAMCORD for Windows and DOS, but Accordance can also do grammatical searches on the Hebrew Bible and Septuagint.
